Das Fundament der Schwesternschaft:

• We do not believe that sex addiction is an actual disease, but rather a symptom of a much deeper mental disorder.
• We do not believe that 12 step programs are effective in treating these behaviors.
• We do not believe that sex addiction counseling (CSAT) and sex addiction treatment centers are effective nor do they create any lasting change in the sex addict’s behaviors. This is a disservice to both the sex addict and the partner.
• We do believe that partners of sex addicts suffer from various forms of trauma.
• We do believe that co-dependent/co-addict labels are harmful and cause further damage and trauma to an already traumatized partner or spouse.
• We do believe that wives and partners of these misdiagnosed ‘sex addicts’ are victims of domestic abuse.
• We do believe that sex addiction treatment protocols are the the last vestige of ‘victim blaming’ and it needs to stop.
• We do believe that partners can recover and heal and have happy and fulfilling lives.

We believe that sex addiction is Domestic Abuse.
