Find a counselor in your area:
This is a wonderful site where you simply put in your zip code and a comprehensive list of counselors in your area, complete with photos and bios comes up. I have used this myself–but let me give you a word of advice. First, read through the bios to find exactly what you are looking for and then CALL them and leave a message. Many of the e-mail addresses are outdated or the counselors do not check them very often. Give them a call. When they call back have a list of questions for them (click here for suggested questions) and take your time before deciding on a counselor. And, remember, YOU are paying the money, YOU decide if they are really right for you, and YOU can decide to change counselors any time YOU want to.
